I first started out taking Justin's classes at Bria Method and watched him grow into the incredible trainer he is today. I would always say it was a love/ hate relationship because during Justin's workouts you wanted to scream every curse word in the books then immediately after the class was over you were thanking him for the best workout ever and never letting you give up. I started working with Justin in March, and the impact has been incredible. I reached out to train because I was in a slump and couldn’t get out of it alone and quite frankly knew he would kick my ass. I grew up an athlete and have always considered myself to be an athlete so looking for a coach has always been something I’ve been drawn to. I am SO happy that I decided to train with 28 Reasons! I feel myself getting stronger. For example I was able to run at 8 mph and jog at 6.5-7mph which were numbers I’ve never been at. I like the variety in the workouts and Justin knows the right way to push me but not over the edge. He is also great at coaching and encouraging and I’m looking forward to having our weekly reviews. I also really appreciate the eating coaching and feedback. I know my nutrition is an area to improve to help me make more progress. I also appreciate how he pushes me during workouts because it helps me complete them. Fitness should be fun. Fitness also should be hard. Those can and should be shared truths especially if you want to consistently maintain your health and hit your fitness goals. Justin combines that balance of fun and hard well. He’s a tough trainer. He holds you accountable. He pushes you. And he also celebrates the wins, keeps it light at times, and roots you on. He programs to his athlete training philosophy plus your goals/lifestyle/career, and what you enjoy. If you do virtual his programs are and convenient and consistent. If you do in person his energy at 5 am should be studied as he’s a human version of preworkout which helps that early.

Prior to meeting Justin, I could barely run a mile. I just competed in the HYROX World Championships and won many first place titles in the sport. I have run half marathons and squatted more than my body weight. Since beginning my training with Justin about four years ago, I have achieved goals that I thought were never possible and fell in love with fitness along the way.
I’ve worked with Justin both in a group setting and individually, and due to my relocation, he has been coaching me virtually for over three years now. He has been the best coach, trainer, and friend throughout the time I have known him. He never fails to push me harder in person, and definitely does not fall short as a virtual motivator either. For example, today’s workout called for 20 wall balls at 20lbs. As this is largely above the weight that I would ever need to be using for wall balls, I was on my way to pick up a 16lb ball until I read Justin’s note under the written exercise: “Don’t be soft. 20lbs.” He knows exactly when to call me on my bullshit and ensures that I am pushing to my absolute limits.
Justin is an extremely attentive online trainer, as he strategically crafts my workouts daily, working towards specific goals, while catering to injuries and answering all of my workout related questions (there are a lot of them). The positive physical and mental results that have come as a direct byproduct of working with Justin are inestimable.
Not only does Justin create plans that lead to results for others, but he is also one of the most fit people I know and works extremely hard to accomplish the goals he sets for himself. He is constantly encouraging me to work harder with his seemingly endless list of accomplishments including, but for sure not limited to, competing at HYROX World Championships, completing an IRONMAN, and running super fast marathons. His unwavering commitment and dedication to self-improvement is inspirational and his passion for helping others is portrayed through his coaching style.

Justin is programming my first Hyrox. As a working physician mom of 3 with variable work hours, I wanted to find a coach that would program a workout that would prepare me for Hydrox and allow me to train on my own schedule. Justin has more than delivered. His workouts are very tough. He personalizes the workouts to build on my strengths (running) but also develop the other aspects to ensure success in competition. He is approachable and very communicative. He is flexible and able to program workouts depending on access to equipment (ie while on vacation with my family) and schedule. I worked with Justin for over a year and a half between 2021-2023, and the experience was transformative. My goal was weight/fat loss, and I was able to lose 50 lbs within the first year and am currently maintaining it. Justin introduced me to weight training techniques, proper running form, and taught me the use of an entire group of gym equipment that in the past I’d never dare use.
